I agree with your analysis of PLN's. My PLN is even more blurred than yours, though. I'm not finding many old friends on Facebook, so my PLN in the electronic sense, is more narrow. Must be there aren't as many of my contemporaries (or should I say oldies) utilizing the tools I am. I have, however, been contacted by my kids old high school friends on Facebook - and though I do not seek their 'friendship' for fear of really showing my old geeky self, I have enjoyed it when they ask me to be on their Facebook friend!
